I think about this joke a lot while playing this game:
Two guys are out hiking. All of a sudden, a bear starts chasing them. They climb a tree, but the bear starts climbing up the tree after them. The first guy gets his sneakers out of his knapsack and starts putting them on. The second guy says, "What are you doing?" He says, "I figure when the bear gets close to us, we'll jump down and make a run for it." The second guy says, "Are you crazy? You can't outrun a bear." The first guy says, "I don't have to outrun the bear. I only have to outrun you." |

Something interesting to get your fellow underdog to help you take out the big guy is the fact that two separate players with an amount of spaces (provided each player's spaces are all together) will together produce the same number of dice as one player controlling the same total area. That means that, unless the current top player controls more than half of the field, then the remaining players, if they work together, have the statistical advantage.
