Deadstar surrenders and finishes 3rd. Rating +51 to 1551
Deadstar stands up
Mad Max surrenders and finishes 2nd. Rating +48 to 1668
Mad Max stands up
Paul-Age finishes 1st. Rating +48 to 1646

How can I become the same point as 2nd like the first one when I have more ELO Points then him?

I often get less points finishing 1st than the player finishing 2nd. I tend to say i almost always get less poins than the others, no matter whether i play conservative or agressive. Whats the deal with this scoring system? And what means ELO?

If you actually had more, got a lower position, and got the same, that does seem a bit odd, but I can't be certain.

"Deadstar surrenders and finishes 3rd. Rating +51 to 1551
Mad Max surrenders and finishes 2nd. Rating +48 to 1668
Paul-Age finishes 1st. Rating +48 to 1646"

So Deadstar was at 1500
You were at 1620
Paul-Age was at 1598

I agree, it seems strange that Paul-Age, who was expected to do worse than you, got the same points that you did for 2nd.

Flexo, regarding "I often get less points finishing 1st than the player finishing 2nd." That is not necessarily incorrect. If you are rated higher than most, and the 2nd place finisher is rated lower than most, then that's normal. If your rating tends to stay relatively high for your table (e.g. you're usually around 1750-1850, playing on 1600 tables), then this would happen often.

Maybe we should make a sticky thread with the elo-system in it.
