Look at the stats on how often the eventual winner is the player who went 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. Then add dice to the positions that are worst until it is about even. |

True, though sometimes being right stats wise isn't the best game design decision. Games are supposed to be fun. The only down side would it would be a positive pressure on scores upwards overall, which isn't a bad thing. |

at 5:14 PM, Wednesday December 6, 2006 EST The only thing that I've noticed that's midly unfair is when someone is the last player to go and has 12 dice. Everyone usually starts with around 13 dice. Some people get 14, some 12. If you're last and you only get 12 dice, you can almost count on losing most of them. If anything, have some sort of check to make sure the order of play and the initial dice ammounts are less randomized?
