Do you think it's fair to back stab against a truce?

I'd like to hear someone else's thoughts on this.
The two players with more land on the map truce for 1st and 2nd. Everyone else has few dice and is spread around the map, having no chance to form a counter alliance. You are big enough to put a good fight, but the truce forces you to soft-flag at least one of them, to avoid a 2v1. However, in a couple of turns, you grow big and can fight them easily. Do you think it is fair to back stab in those circumstances? On one hand, it is backstabbing, but on the other trucing isn't exactly clean either... |

at 9:56 AM, Monday December 17, 2012 EST I know that many here play according to the rule "all is fair in love and war". Still I disagree. This is a game and you should be fair. You are not fighting for life here.
If I surrender to somebody I ought to finish below. Stabbing is unethical to me, I don't accept it unless there is reason for a revolt. But that's just me and probably the reason I suck at 2k and 5k tables. |

I think this pseudo-anon, virtual behaviour well and unfiltered reflects characters and basic principles in peoples minds - quite interesting if it was used for social studies. I'd be curious to see some evaluations that also check the IPs from the logs... |
