It's been happening quite frquently that at the end of the tournament of 100 daily arrive groups of pga players. Moderators are never online in this situations and no any measure is beeing made to avoid this. Obviously moderators cannot attend to every tournament, but what can be done to punish such players that make of kdice not fun and extremely unfair?

Counter-PGA the PGA so you can PGA their PGA with your own PGA

:) Problem is that both pga's i've seenare from groups of at least 3 :) so when you get to the end of tournament it's hard to counter pga with other people :)

Get used to it and stop caring. There is a group of round about 20 to 30 people at most that define their lifes through this game. They posess numerous accounts and make most of the top 100 by teamplaying (call it pga, otf, clusterfucking (nice term Sam), whatever you like). Avoid 2k and 5k tables, join tournaments knowing you won't win and just enjoy the occasional fun games and nice chats that happen. At random moments you might even win a medal, at others you don't see a shot because accounts you never heard of fuck you over for no reason any given occasion - keeping the above in mind you know you probably pissed of the no-lifes and get their revenge.

This game is shit the way it is. Anybody knows that (except those lowlifes getting their 5 minutes of fame out of this). The moderators that care, and there are some of them, my respect for trying at all, don't have the means to act efficiently. The one that might have them or could create them doesn't care at all. Take it or leave it - the majority is leaving.

I agree with Louis for the most part.

It's the culture of the regular players to favour other regulars. There's some logic in that as it's those people you face the most often later. They're better at fighting back in case you attack them, they're better at working together with in a truce, they also remember better if you screw them or if you stab or ignore a flag. So again, it's normal the "group" goes for some safety in picking on the noobs.

Then again, there should be limits to that and I actually think most regulars do work with the "noobs" when it's in their own interest.

So there is otf light (= acceptable) meaning you trust people you know more. Then there is hardcore, very exclusive otf which is actually pga but these people try to kid themselves it's otf.

Tournaments and high level regular games are infested with both types of otf and some pga as well. Even for a trained eye, it's pretty hard to see the difference sometimes. Also, for a lot of the fishy moves that people complain about, it's not too hard for the players in question to come up with a good excuse why it was a truce or whatever other reason to make a move to spare a friend.

Some people have perfected the art of making a BS move sound like a reasonable or fair move.

Unless you watch 5 hours of Kdice a day and record all games you see, it's almost impossible for a mod to do a good job atm. Unless of course if you let the mods ban based on gut feeling. It would be a solution of course and Kdice could be clean in 2 months. But there would be a lot of complaints, some even valid because there would be some bans for harmless otf too.

The only good solution to clean this site up is for RYAN to add game replays. Ryan should store the game data for a few days so things could be double checked. People would worry much more about the consequences of their moves so there would be less cheating. People who feel cheated can post links to saved games so there would be no disappointments when a mod has to (rightfully) say "sorry, the evidence I have is not clear enough".

The only advice I can give now is to record your games.

Another thing we might have to do is to start a shout out forum thread where people can out people where they feel the otf is getting too exclusive. This is another reason why I fear Kdice dies. The regulars have gotten used to the system and just play along. I don't see regulars calling out other regulars in chat often enough. I know it's safer for them and their points to keep quiet but it would help the competition a lot if there would be more self-policing.

In a world where everyone tries to play fair and calls out + reacts on unfair moves, there would even be no need for modding.

Thanks for rephrasing my statement so nicely Jurgen, you perfectly hit the spot. The bad thing is that I am also thinking that this site is dying at an increasing speed because of the misshabits.

So that means there is no point on me joining a tournament because there is no chance i will be able to win. I will be joining only to spend the buy-in points. And don't say i can join for the fun, because the only fun in tournaments above regular tables is exactly the fact that you are eliminating other players to get extra points and either I join a "Gang" and become actively social in kdice or i'm screwed and can't take any pleasure of the tournaments. Meaning that tournaments are directed to some pecific niche of players in kdice

You get it.
If you want points cheat and spend your life here.
If you don't play occasionally

If you want to bang chicks and some other more interesting things move your ass and make sport ;-)
