at 3:47 PM, Sunday October 21, 2012 EDT You can thank the players. People view this game as "important" to them, and thats a problem. When people view something "important" they do whatever necessary to get it, in this case cheating. Many people I have gotten to sign up leave the site after a few days because they complain of PGAs.
The only thing that could EVER save this game would be: - No chat - Anon Names (only color listed, no screen name) - A true/reliable complaint system - Actual punishment handed down What has happened (and its too late now, had to be done YEARS ago)is new customers wont return after more than 1 or 2 days. The old customers and die hards donate, and play non-stop and daily. The issue is that the newbies wont stay because the veterans know each other and take it out on the new guys because they don't know them. Even when complaints surface nothing is done. People admit to PGA'ing and get 7 day ban lol. Hilarious! But you cant ban the die hards either because at this point you ban them, no one really plays! lol. If this site/game had better management and the mods weren't part of that "clique" of veterans this game would be HUGE by now. It has the components to be a GREAT casual game. Most games are fast, point system is clear, its basically Risk with dice, exc exc. But the management of this site has been, and always will be completely shit. They suck. They are the ones truely responsible for this because they are the ones who had the power to fix it, and chose not to because of internet friendships. Sad. |

at 1:47 AM, Monday October 22, 2012 EDT 1) Yodel is right - with the possible addition that only the ugly rats stayed.
2) From all I have read, the mods do not have the appropriate tools to do what you ask for. Please don't blame those that at least try to do something with the means at hand. 3) I object to removing chat, as the social aspect is one of the most valuable of this site. Of course abuse in terms of teaming up and developing positive and negative attituted towards certain players is implicit to this. That is not a problem as long as it does not get out of hand (as it has). 4) This site will continue to go down like it has done for a long time. |
