at 2:00 PM, Wednesday July 25, 2012 EDT +1, there shouldn't be limits on 2k's and 500's as well as tournaments. only being allowed to sit 5k is simply unfair.

at 3:47 PM, Wednesday July 25, 2012 EDT i think they should just lower all the other limits so you HAVE to play 2k and 5k sooner
75k is the limit for 500 and what 3 people have that at the end of the month right now? |

at 12:19 PM, Friday July 27, 2012 EDT I refuse to sit 500 with more than 2k points and I refuse to sit 2k when everyone there has 5k or more.
People who play lower games don't think they are good enough to gain more points than they lose so they waste their time with gaining 300 points a day |

at 4:29 PM, Friday July 27, 2012 EDT People who play lower points, once they aquire enough points to sit 2k, or 5k, often get crushed out very quickly by the rampant PGA/OTF at those levels. Happened to me a lot, and was one of the reasons I very rarely was willing to sit 2k back when I played.

at 12:11 AM, Saturday July 28, 2012 EDT enh. my solution to that is play more, not less. learn how people play. let people get used to your face. it isn't a matter so much of otf (though I'm certainly not saying that DOESN'T happen) but I'd truce/save/help/whatever anyone whose face I know before I do anything for someone I've rarely seen play a 2k/5k before. you can just trust them to know what they're doing better- for example, I'd silent truce murti (even though we don't really know each other) because I know he's a good player and will understand the silent truce. I won't expect that some random person who I haven't seen play much 2k to understand or notice a silent truce, so I'll move into them instead of away if it helps me.
and yeah, I don't play competitively. I've medaled in the past (once blah blah blah) and I've played 2ks and 5ks. People complain that they can't do well on 2k and 5k because of all the otf/pga whatever, but my first 2k I won the game without "help." I sat another immediately and took second then. anyway, the point is, it's not as hard as you think it is. you can win at 2k/5k and you can do it on your own. |
