Yesterday, I was in a 2k room just watching for a few to pass time away. I seen a mod come in and talk to someone about some "bad news". This "bad news" turned into a ban for the player because in private he admitted to PGA. Well, here is my theory if this statement came from inside the k-realm I can understand the mods point of view and the ban should hold. If tho by chance it did not and came from a social networking site; the mod has no right to persuade the decision to make a ban on that player. What is your opinions about this issue? I am trying to stay as neutral as possible in this BUT would love to know what others think. Thanks, Mr. Barker

You mean if someone admitted via Facebook instead of in the chat here on KDice?

I had a long and positive chat with Murti yesterday after I banned him for admitting to several things on facebook. I will keep the names he mentioned in my head, even though there were no surprises there.

I still like Murti as I always did but I think the talk was needed. We went over a lot of situations and discussed what is acceptable and what is pga.

Although he didn't like the way he got caught, Murti accepts the ban. Everybody can have an opinion but it was already settled between me and Murti. But the discussionwhores are free to discuss of course.

PS. "If tho by chance it did not and came from a social networking site; the mod has no right to persuade the decision to make a ban on that player." Read your KDice historybooks: evidence from outside of Kdice has been used many times before. Ryan has taken action in the past himself based on chatlogs provided to him. But if anyone wants to make a complaint to Ryan although Murti accepts the ban: [email protected]

yeah, even I am good with that certain mod, and really appreciate him and like him I think this is a bit to much, that is entering in someones privacy from certain point of view. And if I make good clon here and on FB i can screw someone that way. But above all banned person should question himself 'to what fucktard rating bitch i trust'. Conclusion is, banning cause of gathering info out of dice world is to much...

now when you reveal your identity jurg just to say you then, you are mod who put more effort in this game than any other mod, at least that is how I see it, but in general, dosent matter who ban and who is banned... Facebook is some kind of private, for some people very private thing, so i think drag thing's from facebook on fucking dice is a pretty fucked up and lame shit.

I didn't trick Murti into telling me, Murti mistook someone for someone else and started spilling dirty secrets by himself. That person sent me screencaps of the entire chatlog.

I'm not banning the people that Murti incriminated simply because I try to be fair in what I can and can not do with such type of evidence. Murti is free to talk himself into trouble so I can ban that. But I would not ban the other people he named simply based on such evidence because there is the possibility that Murti was trying to frame kos...umm, another player.

And I was able to verify that Murti was talking and not a clone or a fake. Also Murti said it was him and not a fake so case closed please?

No chat on the internet in any social network is ever private. Anything you post or publish on facebook will not be kept secret or removed from the general public at your wish or command. You sell your soul - it is gone. Simple as that. Any evidence on cheating gathered through any reliable source should be used to take the appropriate counter measures.

Well done Jurgen, also well done not to act on hearsay.

Yeah, I used to get 75% of my info from AIM. Definitely a good way to get information.
