Why have a max score for tourneys and tables?

Not that anything will change, nothing ever changes around here...

What is the benefit of having max points for tables and tourneys? I understand at the lower level tables where there are a gazillion people waiting in the wings to play, so the idea is to encourage people to up the stakes.

When you have 80k points and can no longer sit at 500's, or play some of the 500 buy in tournaments, you are destined to just wait around at empty tables at certain times of the day. 500's cant start because you can't sit there, and 2k / 5k wont start because not enough people have 2k / 5k.

Perfect example just now - we didn't have enough to play a 5k, and Alex has too many points to 2k, and a handful of us had too many points to play 500's. So we sit for half an hour begging people to play until we realize the futility and go do something else.

What's the point?

the point is so fuck faces get the fuck off lower tables

if you have 2k points play 2k

if you have 5k play 5k

don't complain cause you can't play 500

imo the max score for tables should be lowered to fix the problems

Gurgi got the point. Both are right though. It takes ages even to get a 2k game up. So lower the limit.

You got the point:

'We realize the futility and go do something else.'

Yeah, more strict caps would probably be a better solution for future versions of the game.
