Is a 7v7 the same as a 8v8?

What's your opinion before we try to tackle this mathematically?

if you are going to attack first, stack till 8s (in a 1 stack vs 1 stack situation) it's debatable as strategy maybe but actually you better let the other 8 stack attack you |

at 4:19 AM, Monday February 6, 2012 EST Except a 7v7 and 8v8 is just a 1v1 done 7/8 times. If the odds of two people rolling one dice each are even then the same applies if they do it multiple times.
... right? |

first of all, you are rolling 7 or 8 dice at once so the sum of all dice counts, individual rolls don't matter matt already gave the reason away as to why 8v8 has better odds than a 7v7 a tie goes to the defender 2v2 only has 44,4% odds 7v7 is 46,9% 8v8 47,1% I can go over the math part in detail, but basically the fraction of combinations where you roll a tie and lose is smaller with more dice. Looking at the small difference between 7v7 and 8v8 you might wanna consider rolling early if there is another small player you want to fight later. |
