rolloffs, sometimes i don't get ...

...when two players are rolling off and they both roll once on the other.
What is the point of rolling twice?

e.g :
Player1 v Player2 : 25 to 39
Player2 v Player1 : 24 to 12

This rolloff is making Player1 win... that is nonsense to me.
I really do not understand why there is 2 rolls when the two players are neighboring on the map.
It doesn't really bother me, but each time i think 'err, wtf is the point?'.

I never seen anyone pointing this out. Am I the only one who sees who ridic this is? Am I wrong? If I am right, i think rolloff rules need an amendment.

Because if player one rolls off and does "30 to 29", then the other player would be losing based on someone else's luck. You may argue that it IS his luck as it is his defence, but people prefer to decide their fate by their own actions.

The roll off rule doesn't actually exist in writing and there is variations where the one roll is accepted by all players. Or on occasion if a player refuses to roll, someone else will roll on him and count his defence as his roll.

you're right without realizing why. no two idiots should ever rolloff versus each other if their bases are adjacent. rolloffs are for the morons whose weak-ass round 3 flags are accepted by their idiot counterparts

not always true harry, that was what i thought at first too...but there are those times where you're in a long ass bottle neck and roll off saves time.
