But how can you be sure it was Ryan's fault? what happened?

Everybody wins a game now and then because an opponent lags out, we all lag out now and then too. I am not saying that makes it ok or fair, I am just saying it's part of the internet and it evens out if you play long enough

no the whole table lagged out no1 could access the site for like 1 minute

also it seems IE was fixed after this happened (the right side bar doesnt cover the game anymore)

so i presume this is what Ryan was fixing

did the game just end and everyone lagged or what?

if the entire site went down (which I highly doubt), you would have a few% chance of success to contact Ryan about it

If it was not site maintenance, you were likely 'ping bombed'. A method of jamming up your IP connection with large useless packets of data which forces lag. Cheaters do it. Three cheaters have (in fact) bragged about it in past posts.

So, it's worth looking into.

BTW, good luck ever getting anything from Ryan. (Like a credit for an unauthorized credit card charge for membership renewal)

but yeah, we all lagged out at same time. Lo5e had all the flags, and was waiting for ?Nuts? and me to fight for 3rd. Honestly was 2nd.

and then everyone got booted, and kdice determined that Honestly was 1st, me 2nd (woo!), ?Nuts? 3rd and Lo5e 4th. it wasnt a case of user-side internet failure, had to be server-side imo.

i tried starting up IE, but sadly it takes IE like 3 minutes to start up. i made it back in time to see the lag happening, but couldnt enter my email/pw before the game ended. owell.

Lo5e, this has been happening intermittently since 2006, doesnt happen very often but it happens. sucks for half the people.

yeah i know but when your low points and i pay for membership im paying for this not to happen in the game basicly.

So im paying for a service that basicly doesn't work 100% so i should get a refund then

Pretty much like monte told, i got few error messages(getting.events or smth) there while i was refreshing page.

all I can say is that if Ryan had given his advisors limited point edit rights (say +5k and - 5k) to give tournament refunds, point penalties in case of minor cheating, blah blah... I might have awarded you +2k.

I wouldn't expect much to be honest, the problem with starting to do refunds is that it will create a huge precedent and everybody will start posting refund requests...
