truce > flag

Just played w/ Lady Lite in the Brain who flagged me very weak but I accepted because I'd like to fuck the chic in his avatar - he builds for a bunch of rounds. I try for 1st and while I'm fighting the guy next to me doesn't attack me and when the other guy gets through he starts attacking him. Lady Lite in the Brain announces that he thinks we have truced and he starts attacking me. I accuse him of stabbing and he says 'truce > flag' and starts insulting me for not understanding.

Seems to be a clear stab to me. Even if we had truced (we did not) his flag to me would mean he would be on my side or he would sit.

Who is right?

Simpler version: if you flag somebody and later that person truces with somebody else, can you then start attacking the person you had flagged w/out that being branded a backstab?

Every time I watch Breaking Bad, I expect Gustavo to turn to the camera and say "WHY THERE ONLY EYE-TALIANS ON THE WALLS OF SAL'S FAMOUS?"

Confirmed in chat from some dude w/ lots of medals that this is a clear backstab

If anybody cares to argue the other side I'm all ears but I think it is obvious as well.

1) stabbing isn't against the rules
2) truce trumps flag. you truce someone, and someone else flags to you, your truce partner gets a higher place than the person that flagged t you.
3) quit whining

"1) stabbing isn't against the rules "

I never said that it was, but it is not cool and people that do it are punished for it in the future, as this player has been and will continue to be.

"2) truce trumps flag. you truce someone, and someone else flags to you, your truce partner gets a higher place than the person that flagged t you. "

That has nothing to do w/ the situation I posted. This has nothing to do with who gets a higher place. Somebody flagged me - later that person claimed I was in a silent truce and used that as a justification to start attacking me and claim he wasn't backstabbing because 'truce > flag'

"3) quit whining"

1) truce breaks flags is accepted I think.
2) trucing when people have flagged you already is different

Often an early flag is like a truce and gets countered. By that reasoning you could say that the person flagging you can not counter your later truces.

On the other hand, if player F (for flagged to you) is still fighting player T (your new truce partner), why would he stop? F and T could even be PGE. You can't decide for F to enter new treaties over his head. And if he fights T, you'd have to help your partner and kill F, denying his flag.

I come to the conclusion that you can decide to counter a truce of the person you flagged to befor. Or you can decide to join it. It is a new situation. The truce breaks the flags (didn't I read that befor)?
