Cain vs. (un)Abel

Herman Cain won the Florida straw poll and Zogby has him out in front now in the primary polling.

Personally I'd prefer Ron Paul of course; but Herman Cain is definitely my second choice. So this is great news.

I also love his 9-9-9 plan; read more about it here:

Any thoughts?

...behind Ron Paul, you should be pulling for Gary Johnson.

Why tax everything, even at the same rate? A tax on production makes no sense. The tax on all businesses, corporate or non corporate, should be zero. The tax on labor should be zero. The tax should be a flat rate on consumption. A 27% tax on consumption would ensure that everyone have skin in the game.

Skrum I would prefer something along those lines; but I'm just going by the choices of policies between the candidates that are currently polling within the running.

In the article Cain said that Perry had no tax plan. But then Perry comes from a state that has no tax! On incomes. So maybe Perry already has what works.

As a Texan, I can tell you he was one of our worst governors, beating out the likes of George Bush. The dude campaigned on FEMA and shit being bad, slashed the state fire department budgets by 75%, then begged for FEMA aid. Either he's incompetent or a hypocrite, we don't need either in the white house. At least with Obama we know he won't pander to the tea party and the far right.

the 999 plan is stupid. 1. it shows he has no idea how to work with congress and 2. while it sounds pretty on paper, the economy is far more complex than sticking a number out there and saying whooo. Also if you read it adds a national 9% sales tax as well. not fun. and in trying to get people to buy things, making things that much more expensive is excessive imo. he has good intentions, but is def out of his league, though he does hold himself well in speaking for the most part.

Perry doesn't need to collect state income tax since Texas is one of the top receivers in federal money.
