Ever wonder why it is the same 6 people playing everyday? Because you guys are constantly doing favors for each other and, for lack of a better word, cheating everybody else.
I'm quitting them until some rule changes are made about the acceptance of flags. Everybody who plays them knows exactly what I mean. |

at 9:11 PM, Friday September 23, 2011 EDT i've been saying it for a while, but most of the friend-dicing that goes on is because of members tournaments. Maybe make the members tournaments open to all with a bonus, but have free/reduced entry fees for members. It would make it to where there was a little bit more heterogeneous mixing of players.

at 11:24 PM, Friday September 23, 2011 EDT smurf the point is that the membership fee would result in you getting free entry to the members tourneys, i.e. costs you 0 points to join.
others could still join the members tourneys, but they would have to pony up the 500 points. it would still result in free points for members, but at least the nonmembers couldnt bitch at not being allowed to compete. also, good chance it would dilute the circlejerk that is the member crew. i still say either change the members tourneys to 0 bonus points and just leave the member bonus at +2.5k at beginning of month. thats a huge benefit at beginning of month imo. |

at 12:09 AM, Saturday September 24, 2011 EDT Free buy-ins for all tournaments would be a silky amount of free points (even more than it is now). I figure 1250 points of free entry fees a day would be more than enough.

at 1:25 AM, Saturday September 24, 2011 EDT really smurf is a perfect demonstration of how the membership system is broken. only point whores and members of the member circle-jerk pay for memberships now.
it really undermines the integrity of the monthly competition when certain players are paying for a huge advantage. ultimately isn't the reason we have any moderation at all to keep the playing field level? it seems rather a paradox for ryan to on one hand provide a competitive advantage for certain players and on the other to appoint mods for the sole purpose of stopping just that. |
