There is a practice dating back to feudal times (le droit du seigneur) that the lord had the right to take all the brides to bed on their wedding nights. If you like that concept, you will like the supposed rule that the first place player has sole right to the grays on tables with dom.
Offer arguments for or against this supposed rule. |

If first; is huge and the grey is not required for your connect or for your attack; then you run the risk of upsetting first by taking them (500 and above).

dead and thrax pretty much covered it all. 1st can take as much as he can without getting a revolt. another similar discussion could be: can 1st take some dom back from someone who took some lands after fighting someone or took too much land after 1st accepted a weakflag. It all depends on the game history itself and how strong 1st is to "demand" his dom. |

First place has to convince 2nd/3rd/4th that he "deserves" to have the most dom. If first place can't do that, they will either get 2nd in dom, or chance inciting a revolt. |

I think it is good practice, because a player treated that way is more likely to trust you again or flag again in a similar situation. So - maximizing dom is not always the best strategy in the long run, sometimes lacking some of them grey pays better than taking them. |
