at 12:27 AM, Saturday August 20, 2011 EDT really in that game i have 1st with 11 terras.
then s3cr3t (who stay in opposite part of map and do not connect with me) say to others then all must atack me. 2nd (purple) was player with 10 terras, plus s3cr3t+hcdug+Honyo (each of them had 5-6 terras only). they atack me 4-v-1 so i had to flag purp. i suggest 2nd to Honyo if he will kill hcdug, but he continuied to attack me. all this time purp just stay and watch. in the end of map (when i cut hcdug and ready to kill s3cr3t) teal had second try to atack me, but purp stop that. so i kill s3cr3t (i dont touch hcdug cuase i want then s3cr3t - who was the dirty politic, i want see him last. so i kill him and then hcdug so Honyo takes 3rd.... sorry for my bad english, in russian that will be better =) |

at 5:04 AM, Saturday August 20, 2011 EDT Noobeum, I think you mainly failed to get the table under control. Sure you were big but that doesn't always scare people. the key is to get the flags or at least not trigger a pack mentality.
S3cr3t is a typical example of a player who will try to talk the other people into attacking you. Maybe it's not the nicest way of playing but since he isn't bordering you, it's not a bad idea of him to try and manipulate the others. There is not much to lose actually. Also, when a big player emerges on the board, usually the more epxerienced players test the waters. Noobs with no shot at all will sometimes also attack 1st just to screw a bit or because you wrecked them round1. You will often see that the smaller players start talking, basically checking "so guys, are we going to let this guy get away with 1st?, he seems weak enough to take on, we could all move up a spot". If enough people think this way, you are doomed. It can all happen silently too: Player A just attacks, giving a sign to the others he is not affraid. If B sees this as a sign that A is clearly willing to take on the big guy, he can atack too. Often that is enough to provoke everybody at the table to attack you since they won't stand alone. Typical pack mentality. When you see players trying to manipulate from far away, just be on your guard and try to counter it. Settle for 2nd or truce , offer someone 2nd, focus on one bordering enemy and bully him into flagging or kill him, etc. Plenty of options depending on who plays and how the board is set up. but basically it's your job not to get a 3v1 or 4v1. If they play together a lot and often help each other out, THEN you can start thinking about reporting a pga. |

1) "Noobeum, I think you mainly failed to get the table under control. Sure you were big but that doesn't always scare people. the key is to get the flags or at least not trigger a pack mentality. " this sample (4-v-1) show us this is the truth - one big player (not really 2x bigger, then 2nd) scared others players =) 2) "S3cr3t is a typical example of a player who will try to talk the other people into attacking you. Maybe it's not the nicest way of playing but since he isn't bordering you, it's not a bad idea of him to try and manipulate the others. There is not much to lose actually. " u have your own head so u shuold (and must) think with ur own head. s3cr3t in that agme HAD NO CONNECT. and him plan was - u all atack me and then he atack u (when u fail). seemns ur head does not work correctly in that situation (see p.1 xD) 3) "Also, when a big player emerges on the board, usually the more epxerienced players test the waters. Noobs with no shot at all will sometimes also attack 1st just to screw a bit or because you wrecked them round1. You will often see that the smaller players start talking, basically checking "so guys, are we going to let this guy get away with 1st?, he seems weak enough to take on, we could all move up a spot". " - see p.2 i told this because u all (3 pga players sux when i fighted with u 3 in the time). 4) "If enough people think this way, you are doomed. It can all happen silently too: Player A just attacks, giving a sign to the others he is not affraid. If B sees this as a sign that A is clearly willing to take on the big guy, he can atack too. Often that is enough to provoke everybody at the table to attack you since they won't stand alone. Typical pack mentality." - see p.2 u shuold and must use ur own head. cause when u atacked me with teal&purple, you and only u have risk, but s3cr3t 0 didnt have ANY risk. so he can fucked up u after u lose on atacking me =) 5) "When you see players trying to manipulate from far away, just be on your guard and try to counter it. Settle for 2nd or truce , offer someone 2nd, focus on one bordering enemy and bully him into flagging or kill him, etc. Plenty of options depending on who plays and how the board is set up. " man. u really think i m super noob ? i flag purp cause i cant do anithing else. but i wondered that purp didnot do any moves. 6) "but basically it's your job not to get a 3v1 or 4v1. If they play together a lot and often help each other out, THEN you can start thinking about reporting a pga." the two things, why i think that was pga a) green had no connect woth me, but he was ut general b) i gave 2nd to teal (he was really last), but he does not took it. WHY ??? 0_o u can say, that i m noob. i cant agree with u. i play 2nd month only and i have now 7.7k... =) |

at 7:04 AM, Saturday August 20, 2011 CDT sounds like they saw that they could fuck him and well, they did. i flaged 2 and then fucked they all. i fucked s3cr3t to last, cause he lol, who just told to others what to do and he had no border with me. then red (hcdug) (he had 5 or 6 terras) and then teal (who had only 3 or 4 terras). thats was justice i think =) for the future - I'm not vindictive. but I'm wicked and my memory is good. I also slightly nervous. so revenge - one of my favorite things. regardless of whether I lose all the points or not. |

But sorry, I gave up quickly. I wasn't trying to start a discussion. I was trying to explain what I think happened and what I think you can do to better react in these situations next time. All I am saying is that I am 99% sure you did not have people pgaing you on that table. |
