is it alright if someone flags you. then attacks you so they can "path through" to the enemy when they both were connected already by 2 pieces which they had already been attacking through i then presumed to kill him for attacking me for clearly no reason and of course he pged me -_- jw did i deserve the pge?

If it's a 0 or 100 level, where there are no points for dom, I don't think it matters at all if someone wants an additional point of attack on their opponent. In fact, it will probably end their fight for 2nd faster and get you to your next game in a timely fashion. If it's on a 500 or higher, then I would say it's only OK for that player to do that if he/she agrees to allow you to eat one back from their tail, allowing you to keep the same amount of dom that you had before. As for the PGE.........who cares? Everyone has PGE's. Some for stupid reasons........some for no reason at all. |

at 9:15 AM, Thursday August 4, 2011 EDT another important question, regardless of the level of table
you say they connected already by 2 lands, fine but maybe he was outstacked there and he had a big stack locked in by your lands. Let's say his opponent was well stacked at the frontline but he was weaker behind. In that case the guy who flagged you can get a huge advantage in going through you and wrecking his opponent from the inside. If there is dom involved, you can ask him for lands back of course but I would certainly never treat his move as a backstab or as an act of hostility towards you. PS. I wouldnt worry about the pge too, it would be stupid of him to do that |

at 9:58 AM, Thursday August 4, 2011 EDT no at the time they were both even with full stacks so there was no reason to attack me at all......then i took the spot back and he was like I PGE U so i said....really i didnt say u could take that spot? and then he got all mad threatening me with pge so i just killed him

at 10:11 AM, Thursday August 4, 2011 EDT I think you handled it well then. You are always safer is explainign first that you will take your land back because he didn't ask. Then again, he maye would have gotten away with his move if he had asked you first.
so now the only small reason that is left why it would be smart of him to ask you to go through you, was to have a huge cut opportunity on his opponent if he was able to take one of your lands. In all other cases, I think he was just wasting dice. sometimes pga people can pull off this trick, hoping you react like that so he can "undo" his flag to you. Since the other player didn't help in killing you, it's safe to say this wasn't the case here. |
