OTF/PGA

I almost wrote a wall of text about this in Jurgen's thread, but then I lost my rhythm (slept 3 hours last night and had work at 9 a.m. if you were wondering). Anyways, OTF =/= PGA, because what you guys do ("you" refers to not only the recently banned players, but the mustang/savif, gauntlet/boogy, etc. duos as well) isn't OTF. Well yes, it is an "old, trusted friend," one that is also your "pre-game ally."
ex. of OTF: It's round 4 of a game, and my base is fairly strong (one of the 3 strongest). Adjacent to my base on either side of me is MadHat_Sam and someone I don't really know, Maxou12 (arbitrarily-chosen name from top 25). Since they are both relatively the same size as I am, I know that I won't be able to a) fight them both or b) win the game outright on my own. In this situation, I can either flag one (or both) of them, or I can truce one of them. The reason I would call it a truce, and not a v-flag, is that I can choose to hit either player and take them out. So, it's time for me to make a decision. I know MadHat_Sam well. He's one of the best players, he has a keen eye for reading the board (It's likely I won't even have to use the chatbox to implicate a truce), and I'd feel comfortable fighting 2v5 with him in the event that we were countered (which people should do 90% of the time when a truce occurs). Now I'm sure Maxou12 is a good player since he has a high score (although I wouldn't say there is a direct correlation between skill and points). However, I don't know him or his playing-style, so how do I know that he won't hit me in the ass after I move my stacks off of his base and towards Sam? I don't. So that would be my sole reason for trucing Sam in the situation, and we'd probably take 1/2. What you guys do is make friends with one or more people, and blatantly never fight them in any games (at least until the rest of the players are neutralized). Not only is this pointless, but it ruins the game for all of us (including yourselves). That's why I don't want to be friends with KDicers on facebook. Plus you should keep personal life/internet life separate, although this does change when you become legitimate friends with someone on here. Also because I don't want Curtis writing "Gold!" on my wall on the 1st of the month as a congratulations (:P hey Curtis). But yeah, I know what you're doing. You want to friend me on facebook and then cheat with me. So if you want to add someone on facebook, do it because you think they're cool and would like to be part of their social network, not their PGA network. I realize that this post was too lengthy, and strayed off the point several times, and I apologize. Still, I think what I said is important and more people should consider this when they are about to cheat. Like I said in the other thread: KDice is a pretty easy game. Why would you prefer to have less challenges in it if you are going to waste your time playing? You ever seen those awesome, inspiring videos in which an opposing team lets a mentally and/or physically challenged player into the end zone but they try to make it seem (for him) that he did it on his own? That's great for the challenged kid, but if you are perfectly capable on your own and they did that for you, would you feel proud of that touchdown? That's what it's like cheating for a medal on KDice. |

I add kdicers on fb if I think they're cool beans, they don't have to accept it's nbd. I have amber on fb and we cheat left and right (jk) |
