i've watched the tour for years and for an aussie to win a euro dominated sport is special, a very proud and humble moment for us .. bad luck to the schlecks, they are both young and i am sure they both will get one before they finish

I've been a fan of Cadel for many eyars since he was part of the Belgian Lotto cycling team. Same for Robbie McEwen who was part of the same team for many successfull years.

They are both still very loved in Belgium, and they both speak Dutch pretty well.

Now let's assume nothing bad happens tomorrow and I'll pop a bottle of Champagne on his victory.

Man I was so pumped to see Cadel win. I too have followed him for a long time, since the Silence/Predictor-Lotto days.

Total badass. He killed that shit this year, all on his own.

One of his BMC teammates is actually my next door neighbor, and was on the TdF team. You can bet for damn sure we're going to pop some bottles the second he gets back to the states.
