a dirty word but flag is not? To me it seems to be even less threatening due to a higher chance of stabbing?

at 7:56 PM, Thursday July 21, 2011 EDT for most people, truce is OK but flag isn't. well not for most people, but for those who know the game well and don't whore themselves for points but instead play for a fun battle.

at 1:17 AM, Friday July 22, 2011 EDT I think the worst thing is when people treat a flag like a truce...Then flag to the person they ACTIVELY helped get first in their truce that "isn't a truce but a flag."
That shit is frustrating. |

at 10:55 AM, Friday July 22, 2011 EDT This just came up. I am tired of people thinking that they have to treat a flag like they do a truce.
If you flag to someone... you are not under an obligation to fight for that person. And if the other person gets knocked out before you... oh well. I had an end of game battle ready to go with the guy in first place (Blue)... Red had flagged to him for 2nd, so I told him that I would fight blue 1/4 and his second was safe. He decided to 2v1 me because he had flagged 2nd to Blue already and 'he couldn't get a lower place than Blue'. Annoying crap... we would have had an interesting fight, too... |

at 2:48 PM, Sunday July 24, 2011 EDT This thread, my ideas summed up perfectly. I feel like I can never get a truce anymore. In fact, people get pissed because of it.
Sometimes, I don't want to surrender to someone, but if I say "temporary truce?" people almost assume it's a threat and go out of their way to attack me. Example: 1st place person is pulling ahead and getting too powerful. So I, being 2nd or 3rd, propose to the other superpower on the map "temporary truce to fight blue?" They ALWAYS say no, say "flag blue", then make it 2v1. I'm then left with no choice but to flag blue, and it sucks. Everyone hates the word truce so much, and no one wants to gang up to ever fight against someone who is in the lead. The common culture is to flag and fight solo for whatever place you can get. |
