Strategy question on connecting

Hi everyone,

Suppose I have 3 stacks, located in roughly a straight line. Call the stack on the left A, the stack in the middle B, and the stack on the right C. The distance between stack A and B is 3, and the distance between stack B and C is 4.

Assume I have the possibility of connect (I can reach). Which connect attempt should I perform first? (A with B) or (C with B)?

Thanks.

always roll your hardest roll first. also if its through the middle you might not want to connect all of them at the risk of being defenseless to other peoples connects over you.

greek some people actually want to learn how to play this game well. not just play 300+ games in a month to get trophies.

dead, i think its safe to make the following assumption. all three stacks are 4stacks. the 4stack in the middle (stack B) has an enemy 3stack on either side of it. so either you 4v3 west or east to connect, however, there are 3 attacks required to connect east, only 2 to the west.

anyways, i agree partially with dead, this is definitely situation-dependent. but the majority of the time, i connect to the west (the shorter route).

others might disagree, because i tend to play a more conservative game, whereas another viable strategy is to expand more and try to intimidate.

so in the end, if you are the type of person that gets what he wants via love, then go west. if you are the type that gets what he wants via fear, then go east. both are viable.

Yeah but I think the decision is also dependent where other peoples connects are; and who is fighting who.

ok more obv assumptions: its round 1, everyone is fighting everyone, and both the left and right connects are equally threatened/nonthreatened to be cut once completed.
