:p<3 <3 imo you can truce with two players at the same time if you are all a giant truce. otherwise you need to pick one or let them fight each other and take first (sounds like a monte move to me) but i only truce one person or giant truce. |

at 8:59 PM, Sunday June 26, 2011 EDT recently (i.e. since like 2009), ive been offering "double truces" a lot more often. cus the players went through this transition back then to the point where they would instantly immediately 5v2 counter any proposed truce, and youd get screwed out of a 2nd-place dom into a 6th place finish, because the gaycounter would insist that they all deserve 1st-5th over you and your partner, even though a couple of the "counterers" only had 2 lands and were stuck behind the battlefront the entire time.
so my natural solution was that instead of proposing a truce with just one person, if the situation presented itself (lets say you and your 'big' neighbor on your left had a combined 12/36 terrs, or you and your 'big' neighbor on your right had a combined 12/36), then i would just explicitly ask for a 3way truce. id be open and honest about it ('hey, we have 18/36, if we truce 3way, weve got like a 60% chance of winning this thing'). if one person turned it down, then the truce was completely off, and no gaycounter would happen, and we would play on. if it was accepted, then it was a fun 4v3 from then on. so yes, double truce, or 3way truce, or whatever you call it, is an effective strat. i recommend it. screw all the haters. |

at 6:34 AM, Monday June 27, 2011 EDT My problem was almost the same you explain Gurgi, but player A didnt grow exactly...^^
Player C wanted fight against player B, and then player B decided join to the existing counter against player A (me) because he was sure that a truce means 1/2 and i wasnt defending him...and of course there was a player D leading the counter and manipulating all saying i couldnt truce with 2 players...was funny :) Anyway i think a truce means "I don't attack you, you don't attack me", but everybody knows my english isn't good, so its possible i am wrong |
