The United States of America is not a democracy; it is a constitutional republic. The only thing that is democratic about the country is the voting OF REPRESENTATIVES. The founders hated democracy and would certainly be against referendums for exactly that reason. As for this specific law; i suggest you elect a representative to overturn the law; because technically the judge may be correct. |
