Why are players with a large amount of points prevented from playing low-point tables?

Hi all,
Besides the reason of freeing up space (driving people into different bins), I see no other reason to prevent people from playing on certain tables because of point count. My reason for playing on lower tables is I want to bound the change in my point count (bound on variance). Thanks, Risk-aware person. |

Imainge having to wait 2 hours to get a 2 k game running, even tho there are 30-40 players online with more than 5k. Imagine being a n00b and having trouble surviving on the 500 tables, because there would always be many very good playes there, just ready to kill you. |
