I dunno yet; we will have to see who gets the nomination on the GOP.

A lot of times I feel like it's choosing between a lesser of two evils. I'll probably vote BO.

I've voted green in the past, do you think voting a 3rd party is just throwing your vote away?

In my elementary school in 2000, we did a mock election. George Bush won. Ralph Nader took second. Al Gore came in third.

In some sense, I do think voting independent is throwing away your vote, because instead of voting for the person you dislike less (or could tolerate being in office better) you're giving your vote to someone who has no chance at winning the election. At the same time though, why not vote for the person you truly want in office?

Let me clarify.

I don't make decisions based on what the majority of experts tell me to think. I make decisions based on researching the topic and making my own judgement.

You vote is never a waste. Each vote adds political capital to party. The idea that voting third party is a waste is just a claim made by the two "first" parties; because they dont want to you vote for them.

Personally I'd prefer a good candidate from either the democrats or republicans because they are easier to elect currently; but if left with no worthy option; I will of course vote for a third party.
