how can you spot a multi account player when you played under 200 games yourself?

maybe it's true but can you please back up your claim... we don't appreciate unfounded false accusations over here

jurgen i was recently told that northern belgians do not like southern belgians. is this true, and if so, whose side are you on?

well I am a Northern Belgian (dutch speaking) and yeah, we kinda have problems with our Southern "neighbors".

It's all way too complicated and boring stuff so in very short, we are basically 2 states with 2 different opinions on how to run a country. Cliff-notes: it's a mess.

Warning: the following text might not be very interesting to everyone

Politicians have been trying for a year now to form a new government and things don't look too good.

The north is the more industrialized, better educated, wealthier part of the country (with a majority of people living there) and we really want to reform our country to make it financially healthy and also have a more efficient government (pretty close to the German type of government). People mainly vote right wing here.

The south has much more left wing voters which is understandable since the unemployment rate is much higher there. Belgium is one of the only countries in the world that still has a system of financial aid for unemployed people that is unlimited in time. The north wants to make changes so that this system is affordable and doesn't give money to people who don't look for jobs. We will have to cut back on government spending for about 4-5% of GDP over the next few years. The north wants a lot of spending cuts, the south mainly wants more taxes (ofc mainly money coming for the wealthier north)

Basically, the south wants a status quo. Even as a minority they have been able to block important reforms for decades now. The north has always accepted (costly) compromises in order to at least be able to form a government.

Now that a recently new political party has become the biggest party in the north, the politicians in the north are finally trying to put their foot down and refuse to form a government unless vital reforms are accepted by the south. Stubbornness from both sides is the reason things don't go so well atm.

It's not only socio-economic discussions either. Another big problem are the linguistic problems. The richer population from the south (the French speaking part) has moved into some areas around our capital over the last few decades. So this is a Northern region which was originally only Dutch speaking but it slowly got "colonized" by French speaking people. They received certain benefits at first (funded French libraries and schools, government services in both languages) which were supposed to be limited in time (and to help them adapt to this Dutch region). But they have these rights for so long now, and actually they never adapted or learned the Dutch language. They just want to keep these territories now and still speak French. So now the north is not accepting that anymore and refuses to give more.

Anyway, it's actually all pretty complicated discussions, even many people in Belgium are tired of it all and don't care anymore. But it's funny sometimes how we see some Belgian problems explained on CNN or other international news sources. French is internationally speaking a much more important language and even though 2/3 of Belgians speak dutch, the international media mainly present the Belgian situation as it is perceived in the French speaking south.

k, this is too long to proofread, didn't intend to make it so long, sorry for all the typos

"didn't intend to make it so long"

fairly standard for a jurgen post.
