well listen here Mr. Thraxle. I'm the first person to agree with you that we shouldn't have paid Jeter 45 million. In fact, I'll go as far as to say that we shouldn't even have given him a 3-year contract, and he probably wouldn't have gotten 5 million if he had went to the market. I'll go even further and add that he didn't really deserve the gold glove last year, although I'm not quite sure who did instead.

Having said all of that, he is EL CAPITAN, and will forever be priceless to the New York Yankees. Without him we wouldn't have won all those pennants and world series titles. So like yeah it sucks blowing 15 million a year on that dude, but I can deal with it. That's what New York is about; we spend more money than we should just because we're the best.
