oh, you americans and your educational system.

I really find it wierd that you have to take a major that does not have to have anything to do with law, to be able to study law......

you should change that, let people study law right after highschool, same with medicine.

would save ALOT of money on education

If you get a science or engineering degree then law school you can be a patent attorney. Otherwise the following vid explains everything you need to know: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMvARy0lBLE

Depends what type of law you want to go into really, but don't become a lawyer would be the best advice anyone can give you.

for sure, Sam, because ALL lawyers are BAD people. none of them do any advocacy work, and none of the major, civil rights cases of our day were argued by lawyers, nor were they decided by justices that were former lawyers/law professors.
nice generalization. also, what experience do you have on being a lawyer on which you base this assertion?

oh, and Simon:
it really does not matter what you study in undergrad. i personally chose political science, but in retrospect i probably would have done something else (business or psychology). i think wish already told u, just get good grades and prepare well for the LSAT. it doesn't even matter what law school you go to, so long as you do well and finish at the top (unless you want to be super rich and work 90 hours at a major law firm, or you want to be a Supreme Court Justice - in that case, never publish your actual opinions or values, and go to an Ivy League school).

oh, and if you are looking to get into public administration one day, skip law school.
