at 3:54 PM, Friday March 4, 2011 EST As dumb as the BYU case is, he signed a contract with the school stating he would not have premarital sex. He broke that contract.
The US is prude is because this country was first settled from Europe by the prudes Europe didn't want, Puritans. The Puritanical values that still permeate some of our laws and cultural values really are lame though. Hey Joe, wtf is wrong with you bible belters, SEX is WINNING! |

at 4:16 PM, Friday March 4, 2011 EST I love how the sex toy is censored in that picture
Part of why I love the USA is the big extremes: it's the country with the biggest porn industry and the sexually most open minded people but it's also the country with the most fanatic bible believers (and I tried to avoid the term religious extremists) |

at 4:29 PM, Friday March 4, 2011 EST It is simply not an appropriate place to have such a demonstration. It is silly to say think that that the professor is not smart enough to (at a minimum) get the school's permission before doing something like this. If he knew enough to warn the kids of the graphic nature of the demonstration multiple times, he knew he was going outside the lines of what would be allowable. He should be fired.

at 5:05 PM, Friday March 4, 2011 EST yes... things that would actually teach you something. Nothing was being taught here... the professor just wanted to watch a live sex act and be the 'cool' professor for allowing it.

at 5:47 PM, Friday March 4, 2011 EST are you sure nothing was being taught? do you know why they did what they did? you know this didn't even occur during classtime? The vast majority of the uproar about this has occurred because of people being underinformed imo.
