Part of why I love the USA is the big extremes: it's the country with the biggest porn industry and the sexually most open minded people but it's also the country with the most fanatic bible believers (and I tried to avoid the term religious extremists)

It is simply not an appropriate place to have such a demonstration. It is silly to say think that that the professor is not smart enough to (at a minimum) get the school's permission before doing something like this. If he knew enough to warn the kids of the graphic nature of the demonstration multiple times, he knew he was going outside the lines of what would be allowable. He should be fired.

yes... things that would actually teach you something. Nothing was being taught here... the professor just wanted to watch a live sex act and be the 'cool' professor for allowing it.

are you sure nothing was being taught? do you know why they did what they did? you know this didn't even occur during classtime? The vast majority of the uproar about this has occurred because of people being underinformed imo.
