I have found a great way to play axis and allies, along with about 30 variations, online.
Go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/triplea/files/ to download triplea. once you have it downloaded open it up and go to "download maps" paste http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/tripleamaps/triplea_maps.xml into the bar and then select the maps you wish to have finally to play against people and not the retarded AI you want to use the "find games on the lobby server" option the only major drawback is in order to host a game you must set up your router to forward port 3300 to your computer. still it is a lot of fun. |

at 7:33 PM, Sunday February 20, 2011 EST but half the fun of axis and allies is the 30 mins of setting up the board. and the time it takes to set up every battle. computers cant simulate this, can they? :P

at 8:11 PM, Sunday February 20, 2011 EST sure they can, there is an edit mode so at the beggining of every game you can delete all the units on the board. then you can edit them back onto the board. that would take twice as long so that would mean the game would be half again as fun?
