WTF is it? a typo?
I'm just a pretty simple australian guy and i know we're pretty slow over here (sorry i was born that way), but wtf is pwned? Is it owned with a 'p'? pawned? prawned? Im all up for txt abbreviations, like c u later, r u ok, ub6ib9 etc When people change letters just for the hell of it or because it is "cool" eg gurl, boi, lyk etc, for some reason it shits me, i have no idea why, maybe i am just old and need a chill pill. |

at 10:05 PM, Wednesday February 9, 2011 EST Chloe, thanks heaps, i am so clear on it now :P, there are 185 posts on urban dictionary, all arguing what it means, the one clear thing i get is they all want to pwn each other.
I actually think post 6 about pawning sounds viable. Pinks, wait till i get my hands on you, we'll see who is pwned then :P |

A corruption of the word "Owned." This originated in an game called Warcraft 2, where a map designer misspelled "owned." When the computer beat a player, it was supposed to say, so-and-so "has been owned." this is similar origin to the phrase "all of your base are belong to us" |

It's oldschool and nowadays wannabe-oldschool slang. |
