3 ways it works out;
1. Musharraf leaves peacfully, new elections a. Islamic govt b. Secular govt c. Mixed coalition 2. Musharraf imposes harsh violence on protests in order to regain power. 3. Musharraf uses his political capital to regain power peacefully. i say the most likely in order 1a 1c 2 1b 3 |

at 1:16 PM, Monday January 31, 2011 EST I think 1a is most likely.
1c is somewhat likely. 2 is somewhat likely, but Egypt would quickly find itself with a violent insurgency. I also think this would lead to the end of the Mubarak regime, as other Arab nations might step in, led by the Saudis. 1b, and 3 are unlikely. |
