it's a good idea and i think it's in the idea section already

people can use tinychat/kdice or something to do some casual chat

I'm not a person that chats that much so it's really not a bother ;) however i think it's a great idea ... tinychat is good but it's not directly linked and nobody knows who is there when etc. It would also resolve a lot of the problem of cross chat in the game chat box, how many times have you heard a player say to people who arnt playing and just chatting "can you guys shut the fuck up" blunt i know but they have a point.

So may great idea, so little passion from the person that can make them happen. Makes me sad.

jut add a 100k room that will only be filled once every 5 years

while I am raising the point of extremely high point limit tables, why not a 500k career table where you can play for career points :P

A real chat room would require some extra coding but then you could make a bigger chat box area + a list of who is present

1) 100k is 2 big a jump from 5k

maybe 5k 10k 20k 100k


2) and playing FOR your career points would be unreasonable since you worked hard, sadly,for those points. but i'd like to start a month where you start off with your career points for a fun month like the first month of every year.

3) i still hate the whole chat idea. getting to know players on the game more just is going to lead to more friendship. knowing what someone looks like and who they are means you are closer to them = more OTF

1) the big jump to 100k was intended to make the table practically unplayable so it would be an easy way for ryan to set up a chat room in 5 mins

2) I was thinking of a fun table for the 500k career players, the right to play at that table would be sort of a reward for achieving that many points. You could make it 1M to make it more elite, or top25 career, I dunno. Actually playing for career points doesn't really seem like a good idea, I agree. But it would be cool if you could fake it by using the point loss/win stats of the 5k and multiply it by 100 so you would have 700k wins or 300k losses.
