He had been working up to it for a while by being super polite and helpful in the forums. Then somebody (I think crystal or jily) made a post suggesting Jurgen should be a mod. And shortly thereafter it happened.

wow veta if you are gonna make up exciting stories all the time I am never gonna be able to take your word on pga reports and stuff :P ....but feel free to write Jily or Crystal into any of your stories

I've always tried to help the new players with advice, even before I tried retiring in 2008.

I don't and didnt't do it to suck up to Ryan, if so I might as well cut back on it now that I am a mod. you can judge on that in a few months, I don't care.

It was Thraxle who asked me in the forum a few months ago if I was interested in being a mod. He asked Ryan after I said sure, why not. It took a bit of waiting but after I mentioned to Ryan a few days ago that I didn't mind a yes, no, later or maybe but that knowing nothing started to suck, he responded and made me advisor.

Sorry how I made that sound jurgy, I was kind of messing with you but I didn't want you to take me too seriously. I do not think you are polite and helpful because you wanted to be a mod, I think you're just a nice guy. And since you returned you've had a bit more of a presence in the forums. Which I guess hasn't gone without notice.

As far as that thread nominating you for modship goes, I might be remembering that completely wrong but I thought Jily or Crystal (that's probably wrong) posted a thread suggesting you would make a great mod, in there I posted something busting your chops saying you're just a nice guy because you want modship... which of course I don't actually think. I just like giving you a hard time :)

I know pinktaco wore a sexy see-through tank top saying "jurg for mod" and me being mod was mentioned in a few threads a while ago but I don't really remember the thread you refer too. Oh well, not that important, I appreciated all the people supporting me then
