The Yearly ASR is calculated as follows: (games*PPG)*(4*%1sts+3*%2nds+2*%3rds+%4ths-%6ths-2*%7ths)/100+(#games/25) 40 games a month are required, making the current total number of games required 280. at 10:02 AM, Friday November 5, 2010 EDT das, the ASR was originally designed to encourage people to maintain a high PPG over a large number of games (ie score a ton of table points) so tourney points don't count. I believe this also evens the playing field a lot between members and nonmembers, though as mentioned previously, members don't have as many 0/100 games at the beginning of the month bringing down their PPG.
