NEW (OLD) IDEA - MURDER NONFLAGGERS

As explained in Vermont's well thought out post, flagging was intended to make games end faster.
It used to be considered very rude if you didn't flag in a timely fashion. Everyone would scream and yell and attack the lowest person who wasn't flagged for his position (if you are in 7th place and you have a flag for 4th, it meant nothing). If a player was greedy and reluctant to flag, then people would often carry a grudge from game to game. Now if someone gives you a verbal flag they always feel ENTITLED to fight for their position. This common etiquette often results in two players with as little as two territories marching across the map to fight for 5th place. I don't think anyone enjoys hitting end turn for 10 minutes so two stubborn, whiny, self-entitled dorks can fight for 5th place. The games are longer and boring and miserable. Whenever I try to end the game fast by attacking someone who is not flagged for their position, I get nasty reviews and horrible accusations. I think everyone should always kill the player who is not flagged for their position. MURDER NONFLAGGERS! |

at 5:32 AM, Wednesday January 27, 2010 EST My two cents;
Rule 1: Never let people to flag for a position,demand and ask if they flag "to you" Rule 2: Screw roll offs,do roll overs if necessary Rule 3: Never apologize for farming,it is your right to do so Rule 4: Never apologize for revolting if you have been beaten by a truce,it is your right to deceive the people truced against you,other than that revolting is pge material. Rule 5: truce > flags , honour it and fight till the end,do not attack on your truce partner under any reason to finish above him/her Rule 6: Never hate people for countering your truce or countering you for accepting a weak vflag. Rule 7: If you want to win,stop being unreasonable and beat the vflagger that stands in your way to your rival for 1st,or simply do it to expand.It is your right not to accept flags. |
