i witnessed the last two. Linch's was by far the best, because that was back when he and nex were insanely pga-ing all over the place. this one game they had great starts, and it wouldnt matter if the rest of the table tried to 5v2 them, they were going to win. then in round 2, Linch sacrificed his island for nex, except it killed nex's big stack, then magically built to keep nex cut. so they pwnd themselves with a 1/1,305 roll.

I still think losing 5v1 round one is worse than anything

it's a relative thing. A 5v1 round one basically shatters your game before it even started. Chances are if you lose an 8v2 your opponent isn't in that great shape anyway, and it doesn't destroy you.
