i remember one time in late 08 or something i was playing and sat at a table with someone who tried to be ubercontrolling of everyone in a very authoritative way (not condescending just authoritative and 'dont fuck with me' type).

after a few turns, i did the typical 'you sound like an alt', and he was like what are you talking about. and i was like, actually, you sound just like rnd. then he was silent. and said stfu joe. lol.

i mean, rnd alts were spottable from a mile away, plus he didnt really try to hide them that much. within a few weeks everyone who played the game knew that tdl or idnera or nightstalker or whatever was rnd. so i was always a bit surprised when Ryan wouldnt figure it out until a few months later.
