Sick of you 'old school' players

Why is it that so many of you 2007 players feel the need to come onto the kdice forums and talk about the 'good old days' as if 2007 was 1950. Times are changing, the game has evolved... LEARN TO ADAPT. Im sick of people that haven't won a medal since early 2007 whining about how no one plays the game like its 'supposed to be played' and how the people that won 'back in the day' are good and how all the new people suck. Seriously... whats the point of forum stalking and whining about a game that you haven't attempted to play competitively in 2.5 years?
Example : Xcrobin/batman/alan/whatever... you dont have a game recorded since july 2007... but you're one of the most active forum members... im still astonished that you are so intensely involved in the forum of a game that you have a total disconnect with example number 2 : phoenix.... christ man... RELAX. I know you used to be good at this game, i think you won gold with an alt and had a pga team of less than 10... which is impressive. But shit man, stop getting so f*cking offended about my 'who' joke. Maybe stop and realize... shit fiero has a point, why do the 'i retired 2 years ago crew' keep bumping themselves from 2007 to try to be relevant. I got news for you dude, its 2009, and while a lot of you forum trolls are 2007... you're not even relevant to the kdice community. Your arrogance disgusts me. You spit on those who are succesful at the game using their 'vflags'... only because you dont have the capabilities of using strategy involving anything further than '1'st or 7th' dasfury: i respect you, i respect you a lot. You have a blended style of play that maximizes the new styles and old styles of play. You can thrive with a v-flag and thrive with a dasstab and/or farming methods from a game to game basis. I want to hold you up as a model to the other 'awesome' 2007 players that whine all the time about the new game. You're an example that an actual GREAT player will be great at the game no matter what the rules are. So thank you for backing up your trolling unlike about 8-10 of your 2007 buddies. I played on "The Admiral" and made it up to the good tables. I played a decent amount when I was in Spain until I made new friends (language barriers are a bitch). I played a game with Thraxle the other day, and a few games with Phoenix last week. It comes down to I just don't have the time to invest the 10 hours or so I used to put into this site. I really don't have too much free time in general. I follow the forums by reading them on my phone during class for the most part. I work 20 hours a week part time, take 6 classes at University, TA, and one of the most involved people on my campus with student government, social programming and other stuff. While you may think that we're unwanted in the forums, we're the ones that built this game more or less. Monte, Dasfury, integral, Mikeypoo, rnd, Vermont, Wishbone, Vohaul, Diceygirl... the list goes on. We've all built some sort of friendships on this game, so how is it wrong to pop back in and comment on what's going on today or to say "hi" to our friends? |
