Main problem when you let little ones to fight for 3rd or 4th pos

First of all, sorry for my English, but I think it be an interesting situation, so I try to explain what happened, with our example, and point out the problem.
The situation: brown 1st yellow(me) and red 2nd, real flagged for it teal and purp fight right now for (!!) 3rd I was yellow, have +32 dice, just as red. We was patient, passed 20-30 turns, just to let fight player purp and teal with each other... but neither red or brown understood when I said them, offering 3rd pos for the survived one is WRONG. Since we had +32 dice, a flag for 2nd much earlier, we deserve better position than the other two guy. When they finish their fight, one of them have big enough, or bigger lands than you. Only that would be not a big problem, if they simply flag out... BUT, they stay, saying they fighted for 3rd pos, they deserve it... o yeah. But when the two 2nd flagged palyer start to fight, the result is not 2/3 any longer, but 2/4. That can't be fair, and I stated that out even before they finished their fight. In summ, YOU, who flagged for 2nd, had +32 dice, and watched their little fight with patience, YOU sit out with 4th pos, while the survived little one get better pos than YOU... and why? Because YOU didn't killed both of them, waited 20-30 turns and wasted your time. SOLUTION 1: I never will let players under me to fight for any position, if that means they will get better result than me or the other guy after a second fight for higher pos. Unfair. SOLUTION 2: (it be harder, because explain that always impossible in chat) - When there be two flagged 2nd player who wait and pass turns with patience, wasting their own time, the little ones can't fight for 3rd, but for 4th. I think even with my terrible English, it still be logical. But at the table, there are no chance to force 1st player, or even others to understand this, because they don't want to think any more than 10 seconds. I think, as long they can't accept in these situations my 4/5 offer, I will use the SOLUTION number 1, and kill both the two little one to the fuck. |

at 6:04 AM, Sunday September 6, 2009 EDT the game was over, it was just a matter of who gets what position. just roll and dont sit on 32 dice. its absolutely pointless to have 8v8s going back and forth for 20 rounds.

at 9:09 PM, Sunday September 6, 2009 EDT Flagging does create some strange results.
I just had a game tonight where someone who should have been fifth, finished in first place with one square and two dice ... because all the other players had flagged themseleves and the #1 player had a "forced resign". Game # 25,615,154. Really. |
