A favor VS flags

Ok, some of you should remember the times when it was possible to make friends in the battlefield by providing favors:
- Not attacking a player. - Attacking player's enemies. And it was normal practice to get a reward for these favors. Now, flags ruin this fun experience. I feel that games have almost the same scenario: - Random fighting for a few rounds and then flagging wave comes. |

Dunno... what do you think? |

at 5:42 PM, Sunday July 19, 2009 EDT More flags system flaws:
- The strongest player only needs to skip turns as others are flagged to him. It may mean skipping for 20 turns. - If you didn't read chat attentively (e.g. read a blog while playing) and kill a guy who's flagged to you = lots of cursing. - Flag to you. I flag to you. We flag to him. He flags to us all. Sometimes it gets so tricky it's not fun. - No mega battles. The fun part of the game almost always ends after a few turns. I rarely see allies and contra allies forming. |

For me there is a difference between flagging (vflagging) and truces: you have to assist your truce, you don't have to help somebody you flagged to. You just surrendered and hope for his mercy not to kill you - that's all. |

There is Louis. Flags are a dom/sub relationship, truces are partnerships. Truces are also temporary, while flags are permanent. |
