Most players are sick of lame roll-off battles that go on forever.

Here is a better idea- a curfew or time limit.

Example: two guys fighting for 3rd place in round 30.
Number one player tells the board that they have 5 rounds left.
At the end of 5 rounds, those are the final places.
Any rebels are wiped by collective players.
