Respect whatever the fuck you want to respect, no one deserves jack shit unless they can get it.

(1) Especially in tournaments with those very small maps, vflags are a good way to prevent a sudden knock out when someone has a big stack next to you and not many options where to move next.

I mean on a 20 territories map when you have 6 connected lands with small stacks... wouldn't it be stupid not to flag to the person with (lets say) 4 connected countries including one with an 8 stack!?

Here, it is the game which actually enforces vlfagging. So in my opinion, there is nothing wrong with it.


(2) At regular tables, vflags are by far more problematic. On the one hand, I find it quite annoying when someone vflags to another player in round 1-4. On the other hand, vflags are also often used to cover PGAs at the regular tables.

My advice: watch the chat and the in game situation very carefully and if possible always try to counter early vflags.
You have to be very very very active in the chat to do so, because the usual reaction of the players who have a vflagging agreement is:

vflagger: I flag to you purp.

purp: k

player willing to counter: COUNTER!

vflagger: counter what?

purp: counter what?

random noob (who is absolutely clueless): yes... counter what??! o_O


However, on another note: The fact that you are only able to flag in round 8 or later, doesn't really help to prevent hyper flagging. Maybe Ryan should think about setting it back to round 5.

Vflagging is good on 0-100 tables because it basically means you just won without doing anything, so why complain

on 500+ dom comes into play and when people flag when you could destroy them alot of people just destroy them and say "what? i didnt see it, sorry bud" :]

oh and if your the one who flagged and got destroyed and they make that remark you normally end up staying and giving them "fuck you you fucking liar" and all sorts of shit untill the game ends and they log off from a headache.
