What's a 'truce'?

So what are people doing when trucing? According to wikipedia, a truce is a peacefire and signifies "a temporary stoppage of any armed conflict". However, as the kdice wiki notes:
"he alliance is sometimes called a truce. This might seem unintuitive since a truce is just a non-aggression pact while an alliance implies working together towards a common goal, but in the context of Kdice most of the time when two players are not attacking each other they are attacking the others, and they will also help each other when necessary, since that is to their advantage."

So an alliance and a truce are the same thing? That's pretty annoying, because truces are everywhere (often done with little simple words), and then truce partners help each other instead of just 'ceasing fire'. I suggest that a truce shouldn't be more than a cease-fire, and that alliances should be called alliances.

Personally, i try to avoid truces (unless for a counter, and then they're always alliances for me), but ask people to flag to me (verbally) if they say: "Are we cool?" Then I won't attack them but I won't help them to secure their place - after all, everybody should fight for themselves.

Sorry guys, I'm just a bit annoyed about so many people trucing in round 2 ...

on kdice a truce is an alliance because if you say :"wanna ally blue?" it hits you in the face of kdicers that you are allying (obviously) . Saying : "we cool" or even "I'll move and let you connect" are alliances obviously even if it shouldn't be like that....

I've found that your success in a game is determined by how much you can get others to fight each other. I will avoid taking easy land simply because I want that player to remain strong enough to battle whoever it is thats trying to wreck him. If they decide to "truce" (not attack each other) That sorta wrecks your plans and they start building. Thats kinda why a truce is also an alliance.
