The New Kdice : Sit and Surrender...
If Ryan doesn't change it back, can we save the game anyways? Okay, we all agree, the new kdice culture has totally ruined the game... Everything has gotten really hostile, and much meaner than before because there is no game anymore... Although getting a female alt does seem to be working for some of the old timers who still want to play (the new kdice strat?) Here's the deal: When someone says "I'm cool Red" or "I'll flag Red" THAT IS A TRUCE and must be immediately countered... The new "Promissory Flag System" is just a culture shift against Counter Trucing... Counter trucing is the essence of Kdice... But for some reason when someone declares their surrender to a specific player, the others aren't countering... It used to be EVERYONE belittled and degraded 1st-2nd truces... It was considered the lowest thing you could do, because it ruins the game... We all hated it... Now, at least 90% of the games I play all include a 1st-2nd truce within the first 5 rounds... But they don't call it that, or else everyone would counter and take them out. If Ryan doesn't change it back, just add the early flags back... Remove the verbal flagging thing and let people decide what they want to do after someone flags... But if he doesn't change it back - We must save the game ourselves by 2nd, 3rd, 4th three way counters Every single time... If 2nd 3rd, and 4th counter a 1st 2nd truce then there is still a potential for a game... This way, everytime 1st and 2nd truce early, they will always get no better then 4th and 5th... We will beat this habit out of the community... Everyone will realize that these early verbal surrenders ALWAYS result in 3 and 4 way counter truces... A good start will mean everyone teams up on you... A promisary flag will mean everyone turns on you... Players will come to say, "man don't promise your flag to me, everyone will kill us both!" As a community we can rid ourselves of this phenomenon and restore the game to a playable game instead of what it has become... |

at 4:53 PM, Friday March 13, 2009 EDT What if you people stop trucing for a change! I am talking about being explicit about not trucing. If two or three players openly announce in the chat that they are not going to truce anybody, the game gets interesting.
Say no to truce offers like v-flaggin, i am cool, truce red?, counter truce and so on. Strong players should try that. Lead by example. |
