Why do people fear to counter?

- They don't see how they would be better off with the counter

- They got no clue about the game (with old scoring this tended to stay at below 500 level with new inflation it's around on 500 tables as well

- The original truce is actually too strong to be beaten

- The truce was made more subtle (cool?,I flag, silent trucing)

but i think the main reason we're looking at here is this:
People got no easy way to know if they can trust the other player or not.
The one major reason i think i see substantially more counters on top tables is that people know each other and know who has the balls to fight a counter. The ealier proposed rating score applied to a name would help this a lot i guess.
There have been good ideas about this in the ideas section. something like a 10 games delay of that fame bar sounds reasonable to me though.

other reasons why people fear counters?
opinions?

feel free to post.

Because they know if the truce with the 2 party wins, and the counter truce loses,as a silent truce partner, they can get 3rd...But if they join a more crowded counter-truce they wont get more than 4?

Because people are cowards, they don't play to win.
