When is carrying favors in a tournament cheating?

I was in a strong 3rd place and flagged as purple. Ninjapirate was yellow, Fiero was blue, Dr. Zoidberg was red.
Fiero said he saved Ninja last game. After fiero said that, Ninja dishonored my flag and said "idk" when asked why. Clearly they claimed to not be performing a favor to get around the rules on playing favors. at 3:27 AM, Monday February 16, 2009 EST i saved him by respecting an early flag the round before... and simply pointed it out since it was now me with the flag for 3... though it was also your flag with a 3. That cant be cheating... cheating is pta or alliance through tourney. respecting flags and then having your flag respected is just...kdice
