Just to clarify to my fellow players. When a player says "truce {pick a color}," any experiecned players immediately counter it, making truces much less effective. To combat this, players have evolved ways to truce without explicitly saying truce. Here are a couple I have picked up:

1) I am cool {pick a color}
2) No threat here {pick a color}
3) I flag to {pick a color}

The common thread is that in all of these, the player is saying they will fight with that color until the end, at which point they will flag under them.

I realize this is pretty obvious to some people, but it's surprising how automatic a counter is when the word "truce" is used, but how rare it is when the alternate phrasings are used instead.
