As i understand tourney scoring right now its dynamic within the game.
So in rounds 2-last it does matter who is in 1st and 2nd at the very moment you flag to your score if you leave the game.
This can be used for a clever strategy to flag out early and lose few.
Although i profit from that scoring mechanism more than it hurts me id consider it fairer if the possible score for each player in any given tournament game would be fixed before that game. so when that each player knows "ahead" of the game how much there is in for him to lose or win. It would be fairer against those with a better tourney score though who get gunned down simply because of their score.
